May 26, 1945 article about a gang fight between a black gang and a white gang called the “Brigadiers” in the Near West Side community. All the white Brigadiers are from the neighborhood and this seems to be an Italian gang. The black victims both have south side addresses in Grand Boulevard and Washington Park so I am puzzled on why they were over on the west side.
